Monthly Challenge Inspiration - Sarah

Good Morning Everyone!

It's Sarah here with the card I made for the current challenge - Love and Marriage. The prize for the challenge winner is a £10 voucher to spend on the website! There are so many lovely new goodies to choose from :)

Here is my card:

I have used a sheet from the lovely Irresistible Images - Silhouette Romance pack.

I experimented on the background using Distress Inks to create the sunset and found that the ink blended beautifully over the image. Each sheet is 109gsm and 8.5cm x 8.5cm in size. I was very impressed with the quality of the print.

Thank you for reading and please come back to check out the other inspirational cards from the Design Team!

Wavy Baby–New Baby Card Project

Morning All!

It’s Lisa here with a new project and today I’m showcasing one of the recently released Wavy Stamp Set. I’ve used Wavy Baby:

wavy-baby

One of my favourite occasions to make cards for is the pitter patter of tiny feet! And the new Wavy Baby stamp set is the perfect partner to the Bunting Stamp Set to make cards personalised with either the baby’s date of birth, name or both!

Wavy Baby (2)

Supplies:
  • Wavy Baby Stamp Set
  • White Stamping Card, Pink Card and Cream Card
  • Alcohol Pens
  • Patterned Paper
  • Paper Flowers, Fancy Oval Die, Pearls and Twine

Step by Step:

  1. Cut a 13.5cm by 9cm piece of patterned paper. Mat onto cream and then pink card and fix to the card blank.
  2. Stamp the small dangling hearts (from the Bunting Stamp Set) onto the top corners of the patterned paper and colour with alcohol markers.
  3. Stamp your Wavy Baby image onto white stamping card, die cut into an oval and colour in with alcohol markers. Stamp the ‘A New Baby’ sentiment onto the top right of the oval. Mat onto a fancy oval die cut from cream card and fix to the card base with foam pads.
  4. Stamp the baby’s date of birth using the Bunting Stamp Set and cut out. Glue onto a piece of twine and leave to dry. Fix to the top left of the card, adding some pearls to the space between the day and month.d
  5. Stamp the ‘Welcome Little One’ sentiment onto a piece of pink card. Mat onto cream card and curl the ends. Fix onto the bottom left of the card blank.
  6. Add some paper flowers to the bottom right corner.

This very pink card could easily turn into a baby boy blue version by swapping out the flowers for buttons/die cut stars.

A quick close up of the fabulous stamp:

I hope you like my project and are inspired to try something similar. My blog is www.craftingbelle.blogspot.com if you would like to see some more projects.

Monthly Challenge Inspiration - Susan

Hi Susan here!!

Just wanted to remind you of the stamping Challenge Love and Marriage !!

The prize on offer is...

a £10.00 voucher to spend on the website

I made a very simple card starting with a square white pearlescent card blank.

To this I added a sheet of Floating Butterflies paper - these are supplied at 14cm by 14cm which is just smaller than a 6in by 6in card.

I stamped the image Wavy Wedding on white card and addeda little colour with Promarkers.
I then cut the image out with the butterfly die
snipping and overlapping the die with the end pictures.
Finally I added some die cut butterflies which had been distressed with 'Shabby Shutters' and stamped with Happy 'I Do' Day.

Do join the Challenge making a project to follow the theme!

AND ...there's a special offer on these new paperpacks over on the website...

Happy Crafting!

Spring is in the air?

Dare we say that it is beginning to feel a little like spring here at LC HQ - the bulbs planted in the garden last year have begun to nudge their way up through the ground and we spotted a tiny daffodil hiding amongst the winter debris too.

Today we are releasing a beautiful stamp just perfect for the time of year 'Wavy Sheep' (a big lump of gorgeousness for just £2.00) we think this stamp design is too cute and it makes us squeal with delight (Steve wants no part of this description!)

We love this card (above) from Lynsey and she has paired the design so well with our Snowy Ombre papers, with the gradient of the green grass moving into the blue sky.

So our Wavy Sheep have been released from their Pen and could be running and jumping straight onto your door mat - would you like to win one?

Please leave a comment letting us know what is the best thing you like about Spring and 3 lucky winners will be announced next Tuesday 16 Feb.  And if you can't wait 'till then to adopt your own sheep, don't worry, this fabulous stamp is on sale now just £2.00  WOW!

Competition Winners

We have winners to announce today from TWO competitions, first off are 5 winners who will each receive their favourite Dinkie stamp from our new collection:

CraftyChris who said: Ooh! Hedgehog pots is my favourite! Lovely cards! xxx

Jane Willis who said:  Dinky Chairman is my favourite, I'm always on the lookout for great images for cards for men.

Angela Dodson who said: lovely collection of dinkies, something for everyone, I love them all but if had to choose only one it would have to be the Dinky Hedgehog Pots, so cute and you can stack them up!! :)

Hazel Pepper who said: These are lovely. It would have to be the bee on the flower for my favourite. I love what you've done with it, its so inspiring. I'm thinking of making backgrounds, toppers, tags. Its Bee-utiful!

Daisychain who said: Great cards and stamps but if I had to choose just one it would have to be the hedgehog pots. I can just see the all falling down...

Next up we have 2 winners of our Wavy Baby and Wedding stamps, the lucky winners who will each receive both sets of stamps are:

Jennifer McCann who said: Hi! My baby story is when my second daughter was born. I woke up at three a.m. that Sunday and knew 'we were ready to go'! My husband rang the midwife... 45 mins later when things were getting a bit 'exciting' shall we say, he rang for an ambulance. I made it to the bathroom and there my daughter was born. Minutes later the midwife arrived n apologised that she'd had to wake her student.. The midwife had rung an ambulance plus the ambulance my husband had phoned turned up. That made two midwives, two ambulance crews and the neighbours from next door who came to see what was happening!!! All after the baby had arrived One of the ambulance men lived across the road, I couldn't quite look him in the eye after that☺️

CraftyChris who said: I love these new wavy stamps! They are wonderful! When I was having my daughter, I have to confess I turned into a stroppy demon! I kept demanding a cup of tea during quite far on labour and the midwife kept saying no cause it would make me sick! In they end, she couldn't stand my moaning anymore and gave me one - you can guess what happened! She was right and laughed a lot. It served me right! xxx

Phew! What a lot of winners, please contact Gill with your details and your wonderful prizes will be sent to you.
